The music of women composers was for centuries assigned the same unjustly second-class status as women themselves; but their music is second to none. This concert will explore the music of such composers as the Greek-Byzantine poet and composer, Kassia, Hildegard von Bingen, Barbara Strozzi, Jacquet de La Guerre, Clara Schumann and Seattle’s own Karen P. Thomas.

Dulces Exuviae (Linda Tsatsanis, soprano and John Lenti, lute and theorbo) will be joined by Emily Nelson, soprano; Courtney Kuroda, baroque violin and vielle; Nathan Whittaker, baroque and modern cello; and Thomas Foster, organ and harpsichord for this exciting and diverse program.

Please visit www.DulcesE.org for more information and to purchase tickets. Tickets can be purchased through Brown Paper Tickets (www.brownpapertickets.com) or at the door ($20/$15/$10). Dulces Exuviae has a pay-as-able policy.
