Thank you to Holy Week volunteers

A very sincere thank you to all who made the logistics of Holy Week happen. These include:

  • Helping in the food activities, making lunch on Lazarus Saturday, dinner on Maundy Thursday, setting up for and cleaning up after lunch, dinner, or the Agape.
  • Preparing the Education Building for the Altar of Repose, setting up for the Holy Saturday Liturgy, restoring the Education Building.
  • Designing, preparing, and installing the art for Pascha.
  • Setting up the Vigil Furniture, taking it down (and putting it away, including rolling the scrim).
  • Designing the Easter Garden and preparing the arrangements for the Pascal Candle and the altar.
  • Preparing the wax and seal for the door.
  • Being a “Pall Bearer”
  • Preparing the Undercroft for Palm Sunday, providing traffic control for the Procession.
  • Preparing the New Fire and marshalling the New Fire Procession.
  • Pulling weeds, raking gravel, planting planters, washing windows, cleaning pews, changing light bulbs, being on “dust bunny patrol” and litter control.

A special thank you to those who filled in at the last minute as a Vigil Reading Presenter, Greeter, Usher, Acolyte, Lector, or Chalice Bearer. For all of these things and those which only God knows, Thank you.

We couldn’t have done it with out you.

Debi Laughlin, Holy Week Coordinator
