The Great Vigil is coming. Claim your story now!
What’s your story?
Every year, anyone from the parish is welcome to present one of the six readings for the night of the Great Paschal Vigil, which is on April 11 this year.
If you want to seize this opportunity to sing, act, play an instrument, read a poem or short story, or tell one of these great stories of our faith in some other creative way, claim your story on the sign-up sheet in the Undercroft by March 15, 2009 (Lent III).
You can download the full text of the readings on our Resources page. They are:
- The Story of Creation - Genesis 1:1-2:2
- The Flood – Genesis 7:1-5, 11-18; 8:6-18; 9:8-13
- Israel’s Deliverance At The Red Sea – Exodus 14:10-15:1
- Salvation Offered Freely To All – Isaiah 55:1-11
- A New Heart And A New Spirit – Ezekiel 36:24-28
- The Gathering Of God’s People – Zephaniah 3:12-20
