Summer reading: The Year of Living Biblically

Summer is almost here! I’d like to invite all of us to do a bit of summer reading together.
Before Adult Education at Redeemer resumes on September 13th, I’m encouraging us all to read The Year of Living Biblically by A. J. Jacobs. (The book is available in paperback, CD audiobook and an abridged format iPod audiobook)
This sometimes amusing, sometimes thought-provoking book is an autobiographical account of one person’s attempt to take a step in spiritual growth and development. It’s a good summer read!
Although I’m not recommending that you try to live the Bible literally, Jacobs’ experience does provide insight into what spiritual growth might be like for all of us. We’ll spend some time discussing the book in September.
