Help the homeless: foot washing Sept. 11

September 11, 2009
7:00 amto3:00 pm

Every day, people across King County’s suburbs, cities and towns live without shelter and hope. On September 11 at Qwest Field, United Way of King County’s Community Resource Exchange will connect people experiencing homelessness in our region with the services and resources they need—in one place, in one day. Join United Way of King County to help those individuals and families who never expected that they would need a hand.

As in past years, several Redeemer parishioners are volunteering to wash the feet of the homeless, check them for injury or disease, and provide them with clean socks and a foot-care kit. There are two shifts: 7:00 AM to 11:30 AM, and 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM. If you’d like to volunteer, or know someone who does, please contact Carter Hawley.

When: Friday, September 11
