The Sound of Sheer Silence

Now there was a great wind, so strong that it was splitting mountains and breaking rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind; and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake; and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a sound of sheer silence. (from 1 Kings 19)

Do you need the sound of sheer silence in your life? Not for a long time, but for long enough to get it back together again.

Church of the Redeemer is hosting a series of evensong services on the first Sunday of the month at 7:30 pm. This will be a time of quiet, chanting, readings, and prayers. There will be no sermon.

On February 1, 2015, this service is cancelled. It resumes on March 1, 2015.

If you have questions, contact Sheila Bristow at music@redeemer-kenmore.org.

Come to hear that still, small voice that comes only through silence.

This is the service from Sunday, November 2, 2014. There can be small changes to future services, but the basic concept, mood, and feel will remain the same.
