Assemble foot care kits

One of our ministries at Church of the Redeemer for those experiencing homelessness is to prepare foot care kits for distribution at the annual United Way Community Resource Exchange on March 20, 2018. We will assemble 150 foot care kits on Sunday, March 18, in the Parish Hall during coffee hour after the 10:30 am service. We would love to have your help. Bring your coffee and have some fun.

Sign up to do foot washing

A sign-up sheet is located in the Parish Hall if you would like to sign up to help the Foot Soul Team with foot washing at the Community Resource Exchange on March 20.

The Foot Soul Team is a steering committee to organize foot washing annually at the United Way of King County’s Community Resource Exchange. This ministry, which started at Church of the Redeemer, has participants from many regional faith communities today.

Community Resource Exchange

The last Community Resource Exchange took place on March 9, 2017, at CenturyLink Field Event Center, East Hall. People who are homeless were connected with essential hygiene items and services. This included haircuts, housing help, and mammograms. Those services barely scratched the surface of the impact this event had.

This is the 2017 Community Resource Exchange impact:

  • 1,125 people served
  • 130 service providers
  • 513 volunteers
