When Jesus wanted to tell people about his Father, he didn’t use logical proofs or write complex theological treatises. Jesus told stories. Everyone would gather around him, and he would say, “The Kingdom of Heaven is like…”. Jesus used the arts to convey the Gospel.
The arts are a vital part of our church life. Through music, paintings, textiles, and stories, the reality of God is made manifest among us.
Through our play and experience making visual art for our church, we experience the liturgy (work of the people) with our hands and creativity. The experience is deepened when we can hear, see, and touch these expressions.
Ecclesiastical Arts Committee
This committee decorates the church interior for each season of the church year.
Church of the Redeemer
Church of the Redeemer is at 6210 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. We are a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside.
The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
