Sheila Bristow is organist and choirmaster at Church of the Redeemer.
Sheila began her career as a church musician during her high school years at her family’s Disciples of Christ church. Since then, she has served in a wide variety of denominations.
Prior to her appointment at Redeemer, Sheila Bristow was on the music staff at University Unitarian Church in Seattle. Her responsibilities as organist encompassed many aspects of the music program, including the concert series, Dance-in-Worship program, and a term as Interim Director of Music.
In addition to her work at Redeemer, Sheila is the following:
- A pianist at St. Monica Catholic Church
- The Music Coordinator for Covenant House, the Episcopal and Lutheran campus ministry at the University of Washington
Sheila Bristow has conducted choirs ranging from the 5th-grade class of Daniel Bagley Elementary to the Northwest Chamber Chorus.
She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Composition from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle.
More recently, Sheila Bristow earned her Master of Music in Organ Performance from the University of Washington. While there, she studied church music and performing in many collaborative recitals.
Sheila is delighted to be part of the community at Redeemer and its growing and vital music and arts program.

Church of the Redeemer is at 6210 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. We are a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside.
