Welcome!

Fr. John FerguesonGreetings! Welcome to the Church of the Redeemer Web site. We’re glad that you’re visiting us on the internet, and we hope that you will visit our parish in Kenmore. We’ll be pleased to meet you!

We believe that the Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ accomplished some awesome and wonderful realities for all humanity, breaking the power of sin, evil and death over us. His dying and rising reconciled and reunited humanity with God, opening the way to eternal life in His Kingdom.

Over and over, we experience God’s forgiveness, healing, reconciliation, and transformation. We are deeply committed to living in the power of this Paschal Mystery to forgive, heal, reconcile, and transform in our own lives. We are also deeply committed to diversity and inclusiveness: All are welcome to share God’s table and our parish life.

Our parish life is ordered around the Church Year, with its festivals and holy days, and we worship according to the Book of Common Prayer. Music and art are vitally important to us as a way of living more deeply in the reality of God.

Whether we’re taking Communion, meeting after services for coffee in the Undercroft, or up on the roof cleaning the gutters, we have a good time with one another. We love to laugh, kid each other, share a meal, and express our opinions and our feelings. We don’t always agree, and we often have doubts, but we believe that disagreements and doubts are part of our spiritual journey. We like to think about and discuss the real things of life. We’re continually trying to grow in our faith and in our relationship with God.

I hope you enjoy exploring our parish through this Web site. If you have any questions about Redeemer, please feel to contact us. If you’d like to experience our community in action, we’ll be waiting for you!

Peace, Love & Joy!

The Rev. Canon John Fergueson
