This past Sunday marked the beginning of the season of Pentecost. To see more pictures of this altarpiece, as well as of the Pentecost dinner and vigil from the evening before, please visit our photos on flickr. (Can you guess that the color for Pentecost is red?)

Making Advent 2006 altarpiece

L-R: Debi Laughlin, Angela Rockett and Bill McGlinn of the Ecclesiastical Arts Committee work on the Advent altarpiece for 2006.

The May 20th issue of The Living Church, a national Episcopalian magazine, is devoted to the theme of Liturgical Arts. And they interviewed us! They did an entire article on our own Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore, Washington!

It’s a great article, and the online version of the article is up on their website, so check it out!

WordPress blog stats plugin is Go!

Saturday, May 12th, 2007

I’ve just installed the new WordPress blog stats plugin on Arts and Music. I’m really looking forward to learning how many people are visiting this blog, where they’re coming from, and how they’re using it.

Previously I tried to install the Google Analytics plugin. It worked fine for the main Redeemer site, but not here - possibly because this is sort of a blog within a blog and Google got confused. Eh.

Anyway, if you’re running a standalone WordPress blog, do yourself a favor and grab the plugin! Kudos to Matt and company for making it happen.
