Gifts for Shelter Families

[ December 18, 2011 to December 23, 2011. ] The Shelter gift-list will be posted in the Undercroft on Sunday (December 18th) Wrapped presents (with a gift tag noting the recipient’s name and apartment number) need to be at Redeemer no later than Friday. December 23rd.

Family Shelter Christmas Delivery

2nd Sunday in Advent – Deacon Mark: John the Baptist

[ December 4, 2011; ] Sunday (Dec. 4th) is the Second Sunday of Advent.

This is the first of two Sundays devoted to the ministry of St. John the Baptist. Deacon Mark is preaching at both the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM liturgies. (These will be his first sermons at Redeemer.)

Second Advent Vespers 5:00pm Saturday

Shelter Christmas Baskets & Gift Tags

Saturday, November 26th, 2011

[ December 18, 2011 to December 24, 2011. ] We will again be collecting food items for Shelter families for Christmas.

The food baskets will be delivered along with Christmas gifts following the children’s service on December 24th.

A sign-up sheet for the food items is posted on the Outreach Bulletin Board.

Gift tags will be available the week of December 18th.

Shelter Christmas Shopping Trip

[ December 10, 2011; 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. ] The Annual Christmas Shopping Trip for families at the Shelter is Saturday, December 10th.

We need 4 volunteers to drive the parents to the shopping center and 6-8 craft-persons to entertain the children while their parents are shopping.

Stir It Up: English Christmas Pudding

[ December 3, 2011 to December 4, 2011. ] Please join us at 1:00 on Saturday December 3rd for lunch and communal desert making.  We will gather for lunch at 1, then prepare and mix ingredients for traditional English Christmas Puddings to take to our respective celebrations. Christmas Poinsettia Fundraiser

[ November 6, 2011 to November 20, 2011. ] CHRISTMAS POINSETTIA FUND RAISER: During coffee hour on Sundays, November 6, 13 and 20, poinsettias can be ordered for a $12.00 donation.

The poinsettias are quality red, white or pink poinsettias in 6 inch pots, with 4 to 7 blooms.

Plants will be available for pick up on Sunday, December 4th.  Proceeds will benefit the Memorial Gardens.

Daylight savings reminder
