Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Kenmore

[ January 10, 2009; 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. ] Friends of the Memorial Gardens will be meeting this coming Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 11:00 am in the Undercroft. [ January 3, 2009; 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. ] The Requiem for Mary Sparling will be held at Redeemer this Saturday, January 3rd at 1:00 p.m.

[ December 31, 2008; 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. ] On Wednesday evening, December 31st Redeemer will celebrate a Holy Eucharist and Vigil for the New Year at 7:00 p.m.

The service will be approximately 35 minutes long, giving you plenty of time to get across town to that New Years party!

[ December 24, 2008; 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. ] If you have December 24th off, have we got a holiday party for you! At 11 a.m. we’re going to shovel snow out of Redeemer’s parking lot and walkways so we can have a Christmas Eve service that night.

[ December 24, 2008; 4:45 pm to 5:45 pm. ] Everyone is invited to help in delivering donated presents and food baskets to each of the nine families living at the Kenmore Family Shelter (located two blocks from Redeemer).

[ December 24, 2008; 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. ] Redeemer will hold a Eucharist especially for children on Christmas Eve at 4:00 p.m. They are encouraged to bring one of their stuffed animals to keep watch over the Christ Child until Epiphany (January 6th).

Everyone is invited to bring a new stuffed animal to be given to children arriving at the Kenmore Family Shelter throughout [...]

[ December 21, 2008; 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm. ] Whether the weather helps or not, Christmas will be here VERY soon and we need help dressing the Church for the celebration.

So this Sunday, December 21, bring some Christmas cookies to share (and to donate to the Shelter) and stay after the 10:30 a.m. service to help put up the Christmas decorations and trim the [...]

[ December 24, 2008; 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm. ]

This glorious liturgy celebrates the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Carol singing will begin at 8:30 p.m., followed by a Choral Eucharist at 9:00.

Music will be provided by the Redeemer Choir directed by Organist and Choirmaster Sheila Bristow. Soprano Ellaina Lewis and baritone Glenn Guhr will be singing solos from Bach’s Magnificat.

[ December 12, 2008; ] Fr. John will be out of town on Friday the 12th, so there will be no services that day.

This will give you a chance to catch your breath between the artists’ reception on the 11th and the Kenmore Shelter Christmas shopping trip and SmiteFest on the 13th.
