[ June 13, 2010; 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. ] Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Kenmore celebrates the Corpus Christi feast day with a procession and special music.

Music will include David Hurd’s setting of Taste and See, and Vaughan Williams’ Love bade me welcome, from “Five Mystical Songs”, with soloist Glenn Guhr.

[ June 12, 2010; 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. ] Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Kenmore celebrates the Eve of Corpus Christi with a Choral Evensong sung by the Redeemer Choir and the Chamber Ensemble of Pacifica Choirs, directed by Susan Senft.

Following the liturgy, the Chamber Ensemble will present a short concert featuring Britten’s Missa Brevis and selections from Robinovitch’s Canciones por [...]

Actually, the correct title of this first day of Holy Week is not “Palm Sunday”, but rather “The Sunday of the Passion.”

On Sunday, February 7th we will commemorate the Martyrs of Japan. Our deacon postulant Polly Shigaki will be preaching the sermon at the 8:00 and 10:30 services on that day.

On this Sunday we are celebrating the Feast of the Presentation of our Lord Jesus at he Temple. There will be one liturgy, which starts at 10:30 am in the Education Building and includes a Procession to the Nave. There will be lots of great music today!

We will need some “furniture movers” following the All Saints’ Liturgy to arrange tables and chairs and the portable altar in the choir space for the All Souls’ Requiem on Monday, November 2. We will need some burly types and some others (chairs aren’t that heavy.) See Sheila or Debi for guidance.

[ November 2, 2009; 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm. ] On Monday, November 2nd, we will observe All Souls’ Day with a Requiem Eucharist at 7:30 PM. At that Eucharist we will be experimenting with a new usage of our sacred space.

[ November 1, 2009; 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. ] On Sunday, November 1st, we will celebrate All Saints’ Day with one glorious liturgy at 10:30 AM (no 8:00 AM liturgy), which will include the baptism of Cora Mae Holihan.
