[ February 5, 2012; 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. ] The Presentation of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Temple is one of the Major Feasts of the Church Year.

It is the last feast-day in the cycle of feasts having to do with Christ’s Incarnation. (In parts of the world, it is considered the “last day of Christmas”!)

[ January 1, 2011; ] This Sunday (Jan. 1st, 2012 – The Feast of the Holy Name), we will follow our normal Sunday schedule with The Holy Eucharist being celebrated at 8:00 AM & 10:30 AM.
Although we had some discussion about changing the schedule, we won’t change this Sunday.

On March 5, 2011 at 6:00pm,  we will be celebrating the end of Epiphany (dare I say Mardi Gras) with a suitable dinner of New Orleans style fare: the menu will include:

Shrimp Étouffée
Chicken Clemenceau
Red Beans and Rice
Green Salad
Corn Bread
Sparkling Beverages
King Cake

There will be party beads, games, CD music (if anyone has some zydeko).

[ February 2, 2008; 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm. ] Redeemer will hold Evensong services to celebrate the Feast of the Presentation of Jesus at the Temple (also known as Candlemas) on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 7:30 PM.

The service will begin with a procession from the church undercroft (where we’ll just have finished our parish dinner) to the nave.

[ January 6, 2008; 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. ] Sunday, January 6th is the Feast of the Epiphany, beginning a new season of the liturgical year. This feast day commemorates and celebrates the visiting of the Christ Child by the Three Magi. Please join us in celebrating the Eucharist on Epiphany at 8:00 AM or 10:30 AM.
