Deck the Halls at Redeemer Dec 18th

[ December 18, 2011; 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. ] Young people of all ages are invited to join us on Sunday December 18 at 1:00pm (or after the 10:30 coffee) to decorate the Undercroft, Narthex and outside stairs.

Christmas Evening: Informal Eucharist & Koinonia

[ December 25, 2011; 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. ] This liturgy will take place in the Undercroft at 5:00 PM.

It will start with carol singing. The Eucharist will begin with the Great Thanksgiving. Following the Eucharist we will have some casual social time together.

Please bring sweet and savory foods to share. (Leftovers from your feast are most welcome!)

Christmas Festival Eucharist

Family Shelter Christmas Delivery

Christmas Eve: Children’s Christmas Eucharist

[ December 24, 2011; 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm. ] This Eucharist is especially for children.

They are encouraged to bring one of their stuffed animals to keep watch over the Christ Child until Epiphany (January 6th).

2nd Sunday in Advent – Deacon Mark: John the Baptist

[ December 4, 2011; ] Sunday (Dec. 4th) is the Second Sunday of Advent.

This is the first of two Sundays devoted to the ministry of St. John the Baptist. Deacon Mark is preaching at both the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM liturgies. (These will be his first sermons at Redeemer.)

Second Advent Vespers 5:00pm Saturday

Shelter Christmas Baskets & Gift Tags

[ December 18, 2011 to December 24, 2011. ] We will again be collecting food items for Shelter families for Christmas.

The food baskets will be delivered along with Christmas gifts following the children’s service on December 24th.

A sign-up sheet for the food items is posted on the Outreach Bulletin Board.

Gift tags will be available the week of December 18th.

Shelter Christmas Shopping Trip

[ December 10, 2011; 9:45 am to 1:00 pm. ] The Annual Christmas Shopping Trip for families at the Shelter is Saturday, December 10th.

We need 4 volunteers to drive the parents to the shopping center and 6-8 craft-persons to entertain the children while their parents are shopping.

Stir It Up: English Christmas Pudding
