Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Kenmore

[ December 24, 2008; 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm. ]

This glorious liturgy celebrates the Nativity of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Carol singing will begin at 8:30 p.m., followed by a Choral Eucharist at 9:00.

Music will be provided by the Redeemer Choir directed by Organist and Choirmaster Sheila Bristow. Soprano Ellaina Lewis and baritone Glenn Guhr will be singing solos from Bach’s Magnificat.

[ November 23, 2008; 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. ] Redeemer will celebrate the Feast of Christ the King with a 10:30 AM Choral Eucharist featuring special music provided by guest trumpeter Judson Scott.

[ November 22, 2008; 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm. ] On Saturday, November 22 there will be a special choral evensong to celebrate the Eve of Christ the King, with music performed by the men of the Redeemer Choir. Refreshments will be served afterward.

[ August 17, 2008; 10:30 am to 12:00 pm. ] On Sunday Agust 17th the Church of the Redeemer celebrates the feast day known in different traditions as the Feast of St. Mary the Virgin, the Feast of St. Mary the God-bearer, the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the Dormition of the Theotokos.

The performance at Trinity Parish (downtown Seattle, 8th and James) will feature baroque works for trumpet ensemble and tympani, as well as vocal music with soprano Linda Tsatsanis. [...]
