SUMMARY:Finding Anchors in Chaotic Times
DESCRIPTION:Join Episcopal Church of the Redeemer and Northlake Lutheran Church in Kenmore\, Washington on the eve of the Summer Solstice for an interactive pilgrimage of discovery to help navigate life’s chaos. Join us for Finding Anchors in Chaotic Times. \n\n\n\nThe Rev. Danae Ashley\, a licensed therapist and Episcopal priest\, explores holistic mental health through spiritual practices inspired by the 12th-century mystic\, St. Hildegard of Bingen\, and the 20th-century founder of Individual Psychology\, Alfred Adler. \n\n\n\nThis happens at Northlake Lutheran Church. This is at 6620 Northeast 185th Street in Kenmore\, Washington\, on June 19\, 2026. The event is free. Please sign up on Eventbrite. \n\n\n\nDinner begins at 5:30 pm. The presentation begins at 6:00 pm. Plan on the presentation to last until 8:00 pm. \n\n\n\nYour invitation awaits to “Finding Anchors in Chaotic Times.” \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Rev. Danae Ashley\n\n\n\nFor nearly two decades\, the Rev. Danae Ashley has been in the sacred work of connecting: connecting people to their deepest selves\, to each other\, and to the Divine. \n\n\n\nAs an Episcopal priest since 2008\, she has led spiritual retreats\, given sermons that moved hearts\, and discovered that people consistently fall in love with her voice. “I could listen to you all day\,” they’d say. “You make every story come alive.” \n\n\n\nHer path led Danae to become a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist\, graduating from Adler Graduate School in 2014. She has spent twelve years in Jungian analysis\, trained in the Mandala Assessment Research Instrument\, and created programs like Clergy Care Circles to support those who care for others’ souls. \n\n\n\nThrough spiritual direction using art\, music\, drama\, poetry\, and movement\, she learned that stories—whether spoken\, written\, or lived—have the power to heal and transform. \n\n\n\nNow\, she brings all of this experience to my work as an author and voice artist. My debut book\, My Sap Is Rising\, weaves together ancient wisdom and modern psychology on a pilgrimage toward wholeness. Her voice work brings warmth\, depth\, and authenticity to projects ranging from commercials to audiobooks to meditative recordings. \n\n\n\nShe says\, “At the heart of it all\, I remain what I’ve always been: a catalyst of connection\, helping others find their way home to themselves.”

SUMMARY:Alcoholics Anonymous: Kenmore Friday Nighters
DESCRIPTION:Church of the Redeemer rents space to Alcoholics Anonymous for this meeting. Please contact Alcoholics Anonymous for more information. A.A. is not allied with any sect\, denomination\, politics\, organization or institution. \n\n\n\nWhat is Alcoholics Anonymous?\n\n\n\nAlcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of people who share their experience\, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism. \n\n\n\nThe only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking. There are no dues or fees for A.A. membership; we are self-supporting through our own contributions. A.A. is not allied with any sect\, denomination\, politics\, organization or institution; does not wish to engage in any controversy\, neither endorses nor opposes any causes. \n\n\n\nWhat A.A. does do: \n\n\n\n\nOur primary purpose is to stay sober and help other alcoholics to achieve sobriety.\n\n\n\nA.A. members share their experience with anyone seeking help with a drinking problem; they give person-to-person service or “sponsorship” to the alcoholic coming to A.A. from any source.\n\n\n\nThe A.A. program\, set forth in our Twelve Steps\, offers the alcoholic a way to develop a satisfying life without alcohol.\n\n\n\n\nThis program is discussed at A.A. group meetings. \n\n\n\n\nOpen speaker meetings — open to alcoholics and nonalcoholics. (Attendance at an open A.A. meeting is the best way to learn what A.A. is\, what it does\, and what it does not do.) At speaker meetings\, A.A. members “tell their stories.” They describe their experiences with alcohol\, how they came to A.A.\, and how their lives have changed as a result of Alcoholics Anonymous.\n\n\n\nOpen discussion meetings — one member speaks briefly about his or her drinking experience\, and then leads a discussion on A.A. recovery or any drinking-related problem anyone brings up. (Closed meetings are for A.A.s or anyone who may have a drinking problem.)\n\n\n\nClosed discussion meetings — conducted just as open discussions are\, but for alcoholics or prospective A.A.s only.\n\n\n\nStep meetings (usually closed) — discussion of one of the Twelve Steps.
