A Holy Waste of Time 2025

Adults in their 20s & 30s from around the Diocese of Olympia are invited to our annual weekend of fun, friendship, faith, and blessed time-wasting at the Sacred Waters Center for Restoration and Retreat. Known formerly St. Andrew’s House, this a comfortable, rustic lodge situated on the Hood Canal with the Olympic Mountains just beyond.
Feel free to choose your own adventure:
- Kayak, paddleboard, or swim the beautiful calm waters of the Salish Sea
- Take a hike on the forest trails nearby
- Simply read at the lodge
- Sun on the deck
We’ll also offer these optional activities, and more:
- Yoga
- Music
- Arts ‘n’ crafts
- Bird-watching
Each evening we’ll close with prayer and song. On Sunday morning we’ll celebrate a very casual Eucharist together.
Creative home-style cooking is a tradition. Meals include nurturing entrees of locally-sourced foods and delicious fresh desserts. Any dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
The per-person price includes two night’s lodging and all meals and activities. A small number of single bedrooms are available. Many are shared bedrooms (with private bath). You can indicate your preference.

Another option: we have space for tent camping! The price all meals, activities, and full access to bathrooms and showers. You bring the tent and are responsible for setting up and taking down.

Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world around us. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.
Church of the Redeemer is at 6220 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. The campus is a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.
