If you would like to join, but this time doesn’t work for you, please let Fr. Jed know after August 2023. We can look at adding and/or changing the time of the study.
The Bible
The Bible are the Holy Scriptures of the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) and Christian Scriptures (New Testament), written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, containing all things necessary to salvation.
The Hebrew Scriptures reveals God’s mighty acts in creation, the deliverance of the people of Israel from bondage in Egypt, and the making of the old covenant with the chosen people. God’s saving will for his people is made known in the Hebrew Scriptures through the gift of the Law in the Ten Commandments and through the witness of the prophets.
The Christian Scriptures describe the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Messiah, whose coming was foretold in the Hebrew Scriptures. It also tells the story of the creation of the Christian church through the gift of the Holy Spirit and presents the new covenant, based on love, which is the new relationship with God given by Jesus Christ to all who believe in him. (Book of Common Prayer, pp. 850-851).
The Apocrypha
The additional books of the Apocrypha, written by people of the old covenant, are often included in the Bible. Although selections from the Apocrypha are used in the worship of the Episcopal Church, the Apocryphal books are not generally considered of equal scriptural authority in Anglicanism with the Hebrew Scriptures and Christian Scriptures.

Church of the Redeemer
Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world around us. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.
Church of the Redeemer is at 6210 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. The campus is a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.
The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
