Contemplative Weekend for Young Adults

Fri, February 9 at 5:00 pm to Sun, February 11 at 11:00 am PST

Holy Quiet: A contemplative retreat for young adults

Join us for a very casual weekend retreat designed for re-centering and renewal. Adults in their 20s and 30s from around Western Washington are invited to Dash Point. This is just south of Seattle and right on the coast of Puget Sound. Experience a wide array of contemplative practices in community.

Though only 25 miles from downtown Seattle, the retreat center is located in a peaceful, natural setting of 39 secluded acres of woods, on a beachfront bluff overlooking Puget Sound.

This “Holy Quiet” retreat offers the following:

  • Select various forms of contemplative practices.
  • Go inward. Cultivate a more intimate relationship with God and self.
  • Slow down, pause.
  • Shift away from a word-centric practice. Discover and remember the wisdom of silence and the “still, small voice” of God.
  • Be in community with other seekers.
  • Try something different. Experiment with new practices that have the potential to deepen faith in unexpected ways. Complement a more traditional practice.
  • Receive optional one-on-one spiritual direction from Episcopal priests.

Read feedback from past year’s retreats:

  • “My favorite part was definitely singing Taizé services together! I was really able to enter into the contemplative space and it was a beautiful group worship experience. I also really enjoyed the holy hike!”
  • “Favorite parts of the retreat? …Meeting people, good things for my body, mind, and spirit, like balanced meals, restful sleep, prayer of many types.”
  • “The setting was fabulous — I truly enjoyed the Taizé and singing services led by Ann and the music team.”

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, reaching out to the world.

Church of the Redeemer

Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world around us. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is at 6210 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. The campus is a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.

The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
