Sun, September 21, 2025 at 11:45 am to 1:30 pm PDT
On Sunday, September 21, 2025, following the 10:30 am service at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, our sisters and brothers from Debre Tibeb Beata Lemariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahido Church have invented everyone from Redeemer for a coffee ceremony and food.
Debre Tibeb Beata Lemariam EOTC rents most of the Redeemer Education Building for use as their church building. This invitation is to thank the people of Redeemer for hosting them.

You do not need to bring anything other than yourself. The luncheon is in the Parish Hall on the first floor
All food and coffee will be provided. Especially the coffee.
The coffee ceremony and lunch is a great chance to meet our brothers and sisters.

Ethiopian coffee ceremony
The Ethiopian coffee ceremony, known as buna or jebena buna, is a cherished ritual and social event deeply rooted in Ethiopian culture. It’s a multi-stage process involving roasting, grinding, and brewing coffee, accompanied by incense and shared conversation, often lasting for hours. The ceremony is a demonstration of hospitality, respect, and the strengthening of social bonds.

Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world around us. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.
Church of the Redeemer is at 6220 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. The campus is a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.
The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
