Load the backpacks

Sun, August 27, 2023 at 11:30 am 12:30 pm PDT

Hopelink Kenmore Place School Supply Drive

Soon children will be returning to school. This includes the children in families experiencing housing insecurity. For over five years, Church of the Redeemer in Kenmore, Washington, has had a school supply drive for these families at Hopelink Kenmore Place. You can help.

To find out more about donating supplies and money by August 20, 2023, select the following button.

Hopelink Kenmore Place School Supply Drive

Everyone is invited to load the backpacks with school supplies on Sunday, August 27, after the 10:30 am service. Meet in the back of where we worship, where the coffee hour happens. There will be people to organize the loading of the backpacks.

Later that week the loaded backpacks will be taken to Kenmore Place.

Because people give to this school supply drive, a child facing housing insecurity will have pencils when school starts.

Questions

If you have any questions, Susan Switzer and Jillian Gerke are spearheading the school supply drive this year. In addition to talking to them on Sunday mornings, you can send a message to hkpschoolsupplies@redeemer-kenmore.org.

Thank you for caring.

The Episcopal Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, reaching out to the world.

Church of the Redeemer

Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world around us. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is at 6210 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. The campus is a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.

The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
