Since our annual meeting in January 2026, there have been a few projects that members of our congregation have been involved in at Episcopal Church of the Redeemer.

New kitchen sink at Redeemer during installation.

Kitchen sink

The sink in our kitchen has been replaced with a proper commercial sink. This sink will be easier to keep clean over time and should last us a very long time. We wish to thank those who worked on this project especially Bill McGlinn, Doug Reed, and Mike Howatt. They dedicated multiple days to planning and carrying out this work.

AED

We want to thank Sharon Villa. She secured us a grant through the Daniel Phelps Foundation to help us get an AED. The AED has arrived and will be installed in the parish hall where our congregants and renters can access it. We will provide another update once this is installed.

What is an AED?

Outreach

In outreach, we along with Northlake Lutheran Church, successfully provided food for 8 families during the mid-winter break. Their children usually get free or reduced-priced lunches from Kenmore Elementary School. This happened . We hope that we can continue to find new opportunities to serve the Kenmore community through these partnerships with Northlake Lutheran and Kenmore Elementary.

Hub Team

The Rev. Theresa Newell has assembled a Hub Team. They have been assigned the goal to clarify our rental agreements and work with rental partners.

Relèven will also be supporting us in this effort. We have more to share related to our next phase of work with Relèven in another update.

Church of the Redeemer

Welcome to Church of the Redeemer: Worshiping God, living in community, and reaching out to the world. We are an Episcopal Church serving north King County and south Snohomish County, Washington. As you travel your road, go with friends walking the way of Jesus at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is at 6220 Northeast 181st Street in Kenmore, Washington. We are a short distance north of Bothell Way, near the Burke-Gilman Trail. The entrance looks like a gravel driveway. The campus is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. And we managed to hide a large building on the side of a hill that is not easily seen from the street.

The Episcopal Church welcomes you.
